EQuIS Collect can be used in conjunction with the EQuIS AQS Module for AQS data collection and import into the EQuIS database. A variety of EQuIS Collect templates are available to be used out-of-the-box with the EQuIS AQS Module. These templates are available for download from the Collect Templates folder on the Downloads Dashboard on the EarthSoft Community Center (ECC). The Collect Templates can be added to EQuIS using the steps in this article.
In addition to the out-of-the-box Collect AQS templates, users can create Collect templates and data forms using the COLLECT_INSPECTION_AQS Format, which is available is the Products\AQS Module folder on the Downloads Dashboard.
The Collect AQS templates can be used to record equipment calibration, maintenance information, flow rate data, and more. The following templates can be used as is or can be customized to meet the user's needs.
•Add New Equipment – Allows users to add new equipment to EQuIS from the field.
•Annual PE – Captures all the data needed for the Annual PE EPA Transaction, along with some non-EPA required information that is meant for internal tracking and reference if audited by the EPA.
•Annual PE NOx – Same as the Annual PE Template but designed specifically for the NOx parameter.
•Calibrations – Captures any calibration-related information that may be necessary for proper maintenance and upkeep of air monitoring equipment. This data is not reported to the EPA, but is meant for internal tracking and reference if audited by the EPA.
•Calibrations NOx – Same as the Calibrations Template but designed specifically for the NOx parameter.
•Flow Rate Verification - Hi Vol – Captures all the data needed for the Flow Rate Verification EPA Transaction, along with some non-EPA required information that is meant for internal tracking and reference if audited by the EPA. Designed specifically for High Volume equipment.
•Flow Rate Verification - Lo Vol - FEM-BAM – Same as the Flow Rate Verification - Hi Vol Template but designed specifically for Low Volume FEM/BAM equipment.
•Flow Rate Verification - Lo Vol - FRM-Partisol – Same as the Flow Rate Verification - Hi Vol Template but designed specifically for Low Volume FRM/Partisol equipment.
•Maintenance – Captures any maintenance-related information that may be necessary for proper upkeep of air monitoring equipment. This data is not reported to the EPA but is meant for internal tracking and reference if audited by the EPA.
•PZS (Precision Zero Span) – Captures all the data needed for the 1-Point QC and Zero Span EPA Transactions, along with some non-EPA required information that is meant for internal tracking and reference if audited by the EPA.
•PZS NOx – Same as the PZS Template but designed specifically for the NOx parameter.
•Semi-Annual Flow Rate Audit - Hi Vol – Captures all the data needed for the Semi-Annual Flow Rate Audit EPA Transaction, along with some non-EPA required information that is meant for internal tracking and reference if audited by the EPA. Designed specifically for High Volume equipment.
•Semi-Annual Flow Rate Audit - Lo Vol - FEM-BAM – Same as the Semi-Annual Flow Rate Audit - Hi Vol Form but designed specifically for Low Volume FEM/BAM equipment.
•Semi-Annual Flow Rate Audit - Lo Vol - FRM-Partisol – Same as the Semi-Annual Flow Rate Audit - Hi Vol Form but designed specifically for Low Volume FRM/Partisol equipment.
Important Considerations
•Review the Collect Template mappings before use to fully understand where each field on the form will be mapped to in EQuIS. The AQS Format will look for specific values when exporting data (see the Export AQS Format article).
•AT_EQUIPMENT_LOCATION.G_VALUE – This field needs to be populated for the Flow Rate Verification Hi Vol and Semi-Annual Flow Rate Audit Hi Vol Collect Templates. This G Value is specifically used in the Monitor Flow Rate formula and is brought into Collect forms via the Collect Field EDD or EDGE Field EDD reports.
•DT_EQUIPMENT.CUSTOM_FIELD_1 is being used to store the AQS Collect Template name. This is important to maintain because it is necessary for the AQS Export Format to place the data into the correct EDD section.
Collect Enterprise
To use or modify the Collect AQS templates downloaded from the ECC, upload the templates to a Collect Enterprise dashboard. See the “Upload Form Template” section of the Create New Collect Form Template article. Once uploaded, assign Collect users and modify templates as desired.
Collect templates can be customized and provide greater flexibility than EDGE. Users can:
•Design their own templates.
•Define calculation formulas.
•Setup conditional requirements and logic.
•Specify database mappings.
•View historical data.
•Specify calibration range values.
Note: The COLLECT_INSPECTION, COLLECT_INSPECTION_AQS, or EDGE Formats are needed on the EQuIS Enterprise site for the Collect AQS templates to work. |

Setup pre-population of data as needed. Pre-Population can help filter the TASK_CODE (if using SPM), locations, equipment, and activity lists for each form, if desired.
Collect Mobile
Field crews who are part of a user group assigned to the Collect AQS template can download the template to the Collect Mobile app. See the Collect Mobile documentation for more information pertaining to the Collect Mobile app. The images below are an example of the AQS Calibrations template.
